Magic: The Gathering - Flavor - 03-16-2015 I have to assume that a bunch of TWR players have played (or still play) M:TG. I'm curious what formats you play. Do you play casually, or are you a seasoned tournament competitor? I started around 1998, when my summer roommate (who was quite a good player) taught me. I remember taking his red Sligh deck to a local tourney and being too afraid to use the sideboard at all. That hooked me, and I think my first real deck was a white weenie with Empyrial Armor, shadow attackers, and Cataclysm as the core. It had a bunch of protection from red and black and En-Kor guys to redirect damage. I played for many years after that. I played in a lot of local tourneys and PTQs at the time, but over the years of my play, I transitioned to more casual play. I haven't seriously bought cards for 10 years or so, but I keep toying of getting back in. What's your M:TG story? |
