Pokémon Trading Card Game - Flavor - 03-16-2015
I'm curious who here plays (or has played) the Pokémon Trading Card Game. I played it when it first came out. I was pretty heavy into it for the first few sets. Those were some great memories, as it was like the wild west at local tournaments and such.
I also played through the GameBoy game at the time.
I quit playing it for MANY years, and I got back into it when SP was starting to get ultra popular. It took a while to adjust, but I ended up teaming up with some strong players and getting back into "shape" fairly nicely.
My peak achievement with the game was winning Minnesota states with a Gyarados deck by beating one of the undisputed best players in the world. That will always be a proud moment.
I'm wondering what your involvement with Pokémon is/was. Did you just collect cards? Did you play casually with friends? Did you compete at Worlds?
